Her twenty-six books draw from Hawaii’s ocean culture, global travel, and her deep love of animals, including wildlife, equine, and feline stories. A TEFL- and TESOL-certified educator, Kristen teaches SAT prep, college essay writing, creative writing, ESL, business global communication, and HR-related language skills. When she isn’t writing or teaching, she enjoys exploring coastal environments and spending time with her rescued horses, who continue to inspire her work.

Kristen’s dynamic programs, designed for students in grades two through six, highlight kindness, animal education, and core values, inspiring young readers to care deeply about the world around them.
A passionate advocate for ocean safety and marine conservation, Kristen will embark on a 2026 speaking tour with her book Kai’s Ocean Magic, promoting sea turtle conservation, snorkeling awareness, and essential ocean safety practices for families and children.
